Registration and Entry Deadline

Opening of Registration: December 8th, 2014

Closing of Registration: February 2nd, 2015

In order to ensure receipt of entry confirmation as well as important registration updates, make sure to add the @roninregistration.com and @crash-b.org domains to your email address book. Please note that until payment has cleared, all entries are preliminary. It is the responsibility of the entrant to confirm payment has been made. The final confirmed entry list will be posted following the close of Registration. Complete entry list with heat and erg assignments will be posted mid-February following the close of registration.

Entry Fees

Youth, High School, and college undergraduates: $25.00

All other competitors: $30.00

Team Entries: $40.00

Entry fees are non-refundable. No Exceptions. Full payment is due prior to the day of the event. Competitors whose fees have not been received in advance of race day will be removed from the regatta entry list. USRA Membership is not required.

Event Classifications

All events except youth have a heavy weight and lightweight division. Click here for weigh-in rules and weight restrictions.

Open – Men’s and Women’s, Heavyweight and Lightweight, No age restrictions

Master – 30 to 39, Men’s and Women’s, Heavyweight and Lightweight

Senior – 40-49, Men’s and Women’s, Heavyweight and Lightweight

Veteran – 50+, broken down into 5 year sections, Men’s and Women’s, Heavyweight and Lightweight

Under-23 – Restricted to entrants born on or after January 1st, 1993. U23 age is calculated based on calendar year. Men’s and Women’s, Heavyweight and Lightweight

Junior – Restricted to entrants in high school (or lower grade) born on or after January 1, 1997, i.e students who will not turn 19 at any point in 2015. Junior age is calculated by calendar year. Men’s and Women’s, Heavyweight and Lightweight.

  • Please note: High school students ineligible by their birth date for the junior events will race in the Junior heats, but their times will be designated as High School competitors ranked within the Under-23/Open results. This will not adversely affect college recruiting status.

Youth – Men’s and Women’s. Restricted to entrants who are at least 12 years old but not yet 14 years old on race day (Birthday falls between 3/2/2001 and 2/28/2003). Due to insurance stipulations, no competitor may be under the age of 12 on actual race day (March 1, 2015). Youth entrants will race for 4 minutes, with winners being determined by the most meters rowed.

Team Event – Teams of four, each team member rows 1,000 meters.  The team time is the average of each person’s erg.

Open – No age restrictions, Men’s and Women’s; LTA, AS, TA

Master – 30-39, Men’s and Women’s; LTA, AS, TA

Senior – 40-49, Men’s and Women’s; LTA, AS, TA

Junior – Men’s and Women’s, restricted to entrants born on or after January 1st, 1997; LTA, AS, TA

FES – One event, no subdivisions
